Sun rising in the West

In The Name Of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful
Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatuallahi wa barakatuhu

Are they waiting to see if the Angels come to them, or thy Lord (Himself), or certain of the Signs of thy Lord! The day that certain of the Signs of the Lord come, no good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before nor earned righteousness through its Faith. Say: “Wait ye: we too are waiting” (Qur’an 6:158)

Abu Hurayrah said, “The Prophet said, ‘The Hour will not come until the sun rises from the West. When the people see it, whoever is living on earth will believe, but that will be the time when, ‘No good will it do to a soul to believe in them then, if it believed not before.’” (Bukhari, Kitab al-Tasfir, 6/73)

It is also reported that Abu Hurayrah said, “The hour will not be established till the sun rises from the West; and when it rises (from the West) and the people see it, they all will believe. And that is (the time) when ‘No good will it do to a soul to believe in them then.’” (Bukhari, ibid)

Note: Before the rising of the sun in the west, there is the “Night of three nights”, which the narration has not been located yet.

"The hijra wiill not stop until the end of tauba (repentance).. and tauba (repentance) will not stop until the sun rises in the west."

Abdullah son of ‘Amr said, “I memorized a saying from the Prophet, which I have not forgotten since. I heard the Prophet say, ‘The first of the signs (of the Hour) to appear will be the rising of the sun from the West and the appearance of the Beast before the people in the forenoon. Which ever of these two events happens first, the other will follow immediately.’” (Muslim, Kitab al-Fitan, 8/202)

Note: This is to say, these will be the first of the extraordinary signs to appear.

Note: It is also possible, that the Sun rising from the west is the first of the major signs to appear, which would mean it would appear before the Dajjal.
