It seems that for the colonialist superpowers, the Khilafat is a Godzilla, President Bush, fears that it is a “radical Islamic empire” that will “span from Spain to Indonesia”. General John Abizaid (Cheif of US Central Command) is concerned that once its is formed, it will “expand to non-Arab Islamic Countries...including the Middle of Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia”. Tony Blair(in a speech at Labour Party National Conference) is worried that a “one caliphate of all Muslim Nations”. Henry Kissinger is convinced that Caliphate in one country will spread to other countries by a “domino effect”. Their concern is perhaps valid, for as the adage goes: “size does matters”.
