O Ummah!

“I will never apologize for the United States of America. I don’t care what the facts are.” After the US destroyer Vincennes in Iranian territorial waters, shot down an Iranian commercial flight (Iran Air 654) in Iranian airspace killing all 286 passengers, George Bush is quoted in the magazine, Newsweek, 1985. The sad reality of ignorant and arrogant policies of the West still continue to haunt us in shape of wars, economic exploitation, and collateral damage. Its significance can be noted from the statement of Major Ralph Peters of US Military: “The de facto role of the US armed forces will be to keep the world safe for our economy and open to our cultural assault”. The continuation of excusive policies continues: “We are not bombing Cambodia, we are bombing the North Vietnamese in Cambodia,” was said by Henry Kissinger, the National Security Advisor: After bombing raids killed thousands of civilians in May-June 1970 and its recent recurrence,: “It is not an attack on the country of Iraq, it is an attack on the Hussein regime.” (In Iraq) was stated by Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense on March 21, 2003, after 500 Cruise Missiles were fired on Iraq. The question at hand is: what are the differences, if any that are stopping the Muslim nations from uniting under one Islamic State? What stops us from making a collective effort? When the cubs are young what do they do for survival? Our faith might be weak individually, but collectively at least we can make an effort to fulfill the obligation of building a society based on brotherhood on the methodology provided to us in the 7th century and the progressiveness of the coming centuries.
