Muhsin Khan And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhajirun) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.
Transliteration WA- AS- SAABIQON AL- 'AWWALON MIN AL- MUHAAJIREN WA- AL- ANS.AAR WA- 'ALLADHENA ITTABAcO -HUM BI- IH.SAAN RAD.IYA 'ALLAAH cAN -HUM WA- RAD.O cAN -HU WA- AcADDA LA- -HUM JANNAAT TAJRE TAH.TA -HAA AL- ANHAAR KHAALIDEN FE -HAA 'ABAD(AN) DHAALIKA AL- FAWZ AL- cAZ.EM
Ijtihaad (Ijtihad) or independent judgment, based on Glorious Qur’aan and Sunnah, of the leaders of Ummah in matters of Judiciary, politics, administration and war as enunciated in the following Ayaat.

Muhsin Khan And it is not (proper) for the believers to go out to fight (Jihad) all together. Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may get instructions in (Islamic) religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may beware (of evil).
Transliteration WA- MAA KAANA AL- MU'MINON LI- YANFIRO KAAFFAH FA- LAW-LAA NAFAR MIN KULL FIRQAH MIN -HUM T.AA'IFAH LI- YATAFAQQAHO FE AD- DEN WA- LI- YUNDHIRO QAWM -HUM 'IDHAA RAJAcO 'ILAY -HIM LAcALLA -HUM YAH.DHARON
The Holy Qur'an Sura: 29. Ankaboot Verse: 69 Juz: 21 Revealed: Makkah
Muhsin Khan As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism). And verily, Allah is with the Muhsinun (good doers)."
Transliteration WA- 'ALLADHENA JAAHADO FE -NAA LA- NAHDIYANNA -HUM SUBUL -NAA WA- 'INNA 'ALLAAH LA- MAcA AL- MUH.SINEN Allah Knows Best
