Set the notion: Putting a malfunctioning Mercedes Gear Box, in a three wheeler ‘rikhshaw’. And make intellectuals and scholars discuss over the plausibility. You are bound to get the pretext of an intellectual discussion, which if viewed, from cross section, would alarmingly sound to ring hypocritically hollow. The Case with the Issue -in the lime light- at present: Hudood Ordinance- is analogically similar.

We must keep in mind, that Islam, is one complete and homogenized unit, which cannot be implemented in bits and peaces.

For instance, the implementation of Islamic rules related to crime and punishment. Requires the implementation of Ibadat, the Islamic Society system, which would seek to maintain the Islamic morality within the society (the violation of which would oblige the Islamic punishments to take effect), which in terms necessitates that justice is served to people, by implementing Islamic Economic system, which includes rules for Zakah, Nafaqah, Al-Kharaj, and Al-Jiziyah and these are invariably linked to the Islamic Foreign Policy, and rules related to the Caliph altogether.

In short, Islam is not a set of yoga rituals, to be picked and practiced on free will; instead it’s a comprehensive ideology that demands holistic implementation.

I hope this simple fact, dawns upon our intellectuals, scholars, and politicians, who come day in-day out, on the media discussing the partial implementation of Islam; So that they may shift the notion of discussion to either complete revival of Islamic Caliphate, or abandonment of all Islamic laws.
