The holy heritage

The current system and the rulers have not only failed to protect us, but also our most valuable heritage i.e the belongings of the Holy Prophet. On Juma-tul-wida (28th Oct) I visited the Badshahi Mosque where I was appalled to see the condition in which Tabarkat of our beloved Prophet were kept. These antiques are 1400 years old, and they are kept in chambers in which peelings of the wall paint has fallen on them.

I request the concerned authorities, to immediately take steps to put these belongings of Prophet and his Companions in proper, clean, airtight and sealed chambers. The rugs and prayer mats of the Prophet's companions should not be kept folded, which will degrade the material. Rather they should be spread out and sealed between glass plates. I am sure these things would have been better handled and protected had we been under a Khilafah.
