Truth of Freemasonry

Apropos of the article titled “The mystery of Freemasonry” by Dr. Ghani R. Sabzwari under Chapter of History of Dawn Magazine (17-9-2006) in which an attempt has been to “hoodwink” by those who are “hoodwinked” (which is the form in which the candidate for admission to Freemasonry is prepared), present Freemasonry (declared as an unlawful association and dissolved) in a favorable light, to rehabilitate it, and rescind the earlier legislation and restoration of Masonic Halls acquired by the Provincial Governments in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, etc. Thereafter, pave the way for recognition of Israel because the Grand Lodges abroad are in amity with the Grand Lodge of Israel. The Chief Martial Law Administrator declared Freemasons as an unlawful association and dissolved it with immediate effect vide Martial Law Regulation No 56 issued on 16-6-1983 (that has been retained under Martial Law Order No 107issued on 29-12-1985 but Freemasons continued to serve in the judiciary, autonomous bodies and the Government.
Some petitions were filed before the Supreme Court and may be pending.
In the end of 1965, the Pakistan Government prohibited its armed forces personnel from becoming members of Freemasonry Lions and Rotary Clubs. In 1969 other government servants were barred from accepting membership of any organization whose aims and objects, nature of activities and membership were not publicly known.
In this connection, writer’s letter captioned “We serve” published in Dawn (13-6-1983) in response to that of Mr. Parvez Ali (13-5-1983) may be referred. This article is based on other letters published in Dawn, Evening Star, International Monthly Minaret, Morning News, Daily News, Leader, Muslim News, The Sun, Weekly Mail, Orient Times from June 1969 to March 1987.

Freemasonry & Israel
After the occupation of Arab lands, the main event was the Erection and Consecration of the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of the State of Israel and for that purpose Freemasons from all over the world had gathered and met in what is known as King Solomon’s Quarries under the old walled Holy City of Jerusalem. International Supreme Council of World Masons 15th. Annual Conference was scheduled to be held in Jerusalem from August 5-10, 1974 and request for further information was advertised by Swissair, Southfield, Michigan 48075 USA.



Accord ing to the Commissioner General of Arab League, Mr. M. Mahjoub the International Masonic Movement had defied repeated warnings to hold the Conference elsewhere instead of Israel, and as such it was banned because, “This movement worked for Israel and sponsors the Zionist Movement under the cover of ‘international social movement.’” (SAUDI GAZETTE, Jeddah Saudi Arabia No: 348 of 11—6—1977)



Freemasons claim that “there is nothing of any specific religion mentioned or taught in Freemasonry”, which is an eye-wash for people outside their circle who like those within their fraternity do not have a “preconceived favorable opinion” and when this statement is examined from their own sources, the falsity is self-evident.

Freemasonry or Jewry
In Freemasonry God is referred to as the Grand Architect of the Universe (GAOTU) and the Office-Bearers of the Lodge are Master (WM=Worshipful Master), Past Master (PM), Senior Warden (SW), Junior Warden (JW), Senior Deacon (SD), Junior Deacon (JD), Inner Guard (IG), Outer Guard (OG) or Tyler, (T), Bible (Quran) Bearer, Organist, Secretary, and Treasurer.
The traditional background of Freemasonry is King Solomon’s Temple, its rise and fall, rebirth and destruction and the rituals of Freemasonry are also based on the practices connected with them.
Freemasons including those who are Muslims, once being admitted to the “mysteries and privileges” of Freemasonry have no alternative, choice or option but required to accept admit and confess that it was Hazrat Ishaq (Isaac)—“only son”—and not Hazrat Ismail (Ishmael) (Allah’s blessings and peace be on them). This belief is based on the Bible—The V.S.L. (Volume of Sacred Law) in Freemasonry).

Naturally one who accepts that it was Hazrat Ismail (and not Hazrat Ishaq) the only choice before him is to accept and believe in Islam and that the Holy Prophet Muhammad was a descendant in the line of Hazrat Ismail who was the first born and eldest son and Muslims observe Eid-ul-Azha in historical commemoration of the supreme sacrifice of his beloved son by the Great Patriarch Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) –the Friend of Allah (Allah’s blessings and peace be on them!)
However to further illustrate the point, “Explanation of the Tracing Board of the First Degree of an Entered Apprentice that always follows the “ceremony of initiation” will suffice. It reads: “Our Lodges are situated due East and West because all places of divine worship as well as Mason’s well formed and regularly constituted Lodges are or ought to be so situated—“Our Lodges stand on holy ground because the First Lodge was consecrated on account of three grand offerings thereon made which met with Divine approbation: Firstly, the ready compliance of Abraham with the will of God, in not refusing to offer up his only son Isaac as a burnt sacrifice when it pleased the Lord to substitute a more acceptable offering in his stead. Secondly, the many pious prayers and ejaculations offered up by King David which God was graciously pleased to accept and thereupon stayed the pestilence which raged sorely among his people. Thirdly, the many thanks givings and costly offerings made by King Solomon at the building, completion and dedication of the Temple at Jerusalem to God’s service,” according to “The Standard Ritual of Scottish Freemasonry.”

Whereas the Holy Quran “In it is guidance sure without doubt” (S: II-V: 2)—“a light from Allah and a Book with self evident truths” (S: V-V:17/18) for the Muslims and mankind at large informs that:
Kaaba “The first House (of Divine Worship) appointed for men (SIII-V: 95) was rebuilt by Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son Hazrat Ismail (Ishmael) (SII-V: 127/128); S: XXII-V: 26/27). It is also the “Qibla” towards which the Muslims are directed to turn their faces while offering prayers (S: II-V: 144). Moreover Hazrat Ismail (Ishmael) was offered in sacrifice to Allah (S: XXXVIII-V: 102-107) and not Hazrat Ishaq (Isaac) who was not the only but the second son after Hazrat Ismail (Ishmael).
Furthermore, the birth of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Allah and His angels send their blessing peace and salutations on him!) was in answer to joint the prayers of both Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham) and Hazrat Ismail (Ishmael) after rebuilding of the Kaaba (S:II-V:129)
During the “Ceremony of Raising to the Third or Master Mason (MM)’s Degree, it is emphasized that: “—the annals of Freemasonry afford a glorious example of the unshaken fidelity and noble death of our Master Hiram Abiff who was slain just before the completion of King Solomon’s Temple at the construction of which he was the Principal Architect” according to “The Standard Ritual of Scottish Freemasonry.” There is not much difference between the English, Irish and American Rituals of Freemasonry.

Later on in the “Charge after the Raising to the Third Degree of Master Mason (MM),” it is expected from the Freemasons, Muslims and non-Muslims alike. “—be true and faithful and imitate the example of that celebrated artist whom you have this night represented—” and how one “imitates” or is “represented”? By “laid lifeless (covered with grave cloth) at the feet” of the Master of The Lodge (who can be a non-Muslim and represents King Solomon). According to one Ritual, the 12th. Chapter of the Book of Ecclesiastes may be recited or the Dead March in Saul played by the Organist.
And who was Hiram Abiff? “The son of a widow of the Tribe of Naphthali (Bible I-Kings 7:13, 14)—Naphthali was one of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. For this reason, Freemasons are often so-called “Sons of the Widow.”
Whereas, according to the Holy Quran—the very truth which confirms the message of the Apostles before the Holy Prophet of Islam” (S:XXXVIII-V:37) and “If any do fail to judge by the (light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) unbelievers (S:V-V:47) asserts: “You have indeed In the Apostle of Allah A beautiful pattern (of conduct) For anyone whose hope is In Allah and the Final Day And who engages much in the praise of Allah.” (S: XXXIII-V: 21)
Moreover, Youm-e-Ashura (Tenth Day of Moharram) reminds not only the Muslims but all mankind for ever that the martyrdom of Syedna Hazrat Imam Hussein and the Ahle Bait (Allah’s blessings and peace upon them all) is an example of supreme sacrifice and devotion to preserve the glory, honor and ideals of Islam. To quote a couplet from Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (Peace on him)-Saint of Ajmer, which has a depth of meaning sar dad nadad dast dar daste yazeed / hakka keh binae LA ILAHA hast HUSSAIN.

Freemasonry or Zionism
The relationship between Freemasonry and Zionism is clear from the following facts. Arthur James Earl of Balfour was the man behind the perfidious Balfour Declaration of 1917—“declaration of sympathy with Jewish Zionist aspirations” and “establishment in Palestine for the Jewish people”—which the Qaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, The Father of the Nation and Architect of Pakistan and Allama Dr. Sir Muhammad Iqbal, Poet Philosopher of Islam condemned for its illegality, immorality and injustice and their views are well known.
Lady Blanche Dugdale, sister and biographer of Arthur James Balfour has confirmed that the appeal of Zionism had continued to affect her brother. Ref: If I Forget Thee by Lord Russell of Liverpool)
Moreover the 3rd and 4th.Earls of Balfour namely Robert Arthur Lytton and Gerald Arthur James were Freemasons and held the positions of Grand Master Mason and Grand Marshal in the Grand Lodge of Scotland respectively.

The myth about the “Protocols” that they are forged documents has been exploded by an eminent Jew and Freemason, Henry Ford to whom is attributed that: “The only statement I care to make about the Protocols is that they fit in with what is going on.” New York Herald 17-2-1921.

Penalties for Freemasons.
In Freemasonry, “The Bible referred to as the Volume of the Sacred Law (VSL) is always kept open in the Lodges. Every candidate is required to take his obligation on that Book or on the Volume which is held by his particular creed to impart sanctity to an oath or promise taken upon it. ” (Aims and Relationships of the Craft)
As such Freemasons, whether Muslims or non-Muslims are required to take a “solemn obligation to keep inviolate the secrets and mysteries” of Freemasonry and “pledge himself under the penalty of obligation” which is incompatible to Islam and shows the high regard they have to cultivate for Freemasonry.
The penalty under the obligation of (1) First Degree of an Entered Apprentice (EA), is “throat can be cut across and my tongue can be torn out by the root.” (2) Second Degree of a Fellow Craft (FC), “my left breast can be laid open and my heart plucked therefrom and given to the ravenous birds of the air.”(3) Third Degree of Master Mason (MM), “to be sawn/severed in two, my bowels can be burnt to ashes and those ashes scattered over the face of the earth.” (4) Royal Arch Mason (RAM), “loss of life by having my head struck off.”
The penal signs “by which Freemasons are known to each other, and are distinguished from the rest of the world, ” e .g. “of fidelity, hailing, horror, sympathy, grief and death, joy and exultation, grand and royal” are derived from the above “barbarous” Penalties, which allude to “Israelitish” customs.
It is a pity that Muslims do not realize what they are doing when they pledge and are prepared to offer themselves for such penalties, even if they do not really mean it, for something which is “worthless and trash” as compared to Islam—“the religion before Allah” (S: III-V: 19) and in which “there is no compulsion” (S: II-V: 256)
About such oaths, the Holy Quran –“The Criterion” (S: XXV-V: 1) to judge between right and wrong” –“From Allah a light and perspicuous Book” (S: V-V: 17, 18) and “revealed to lead mankind out of the depths of darkness into light” (S: XIV-V: 1) has to say as folllows:
“They have made their oaths A screen (for their misdeeds) Thus they obstruct (men), From the path of Allah Therefore, shall they have A humiliating penalty.” (S: LVIII-V: 1)
Heed not the type Of despicable man,--Ready with oaths (S: LXVIIII-V: 10)
