Famous Polish wisdom

Poland’s Foreign Minister Stefan Meller, in a statement last Friday, ruled out allowing any Iranian researchers to examine the scale of the Holocaust committed by the German Nazis on Polish soil during World War Two. It is claimed that some 6 million Jews perished in the Holocaust, with an estimated 1.1 million killed in gas chambers at Auschwitz- Birkenau, a death camp set up in German-occupied Poland.

The camp now stands as a museum. However, according to Iran’s ambassador to Lisbon, an ex-diplomat in Poland, this is a myth. According to his calculations based on a visit to this museum, it would have taken the Nazis 15 years to burn the corpses of 6 million people. Irrespective of the fact that the Holocaust is a myth or a reality, what is alarming is the Poland’s blatant refusal of allowing a research in this matter. Stefan Meller says: “It goes beyond all imaginable norms to question, even discuss or negotiate the issue”.

Such a statement from the so-called defenders of the ‘freedom of speech’, gives one an insight of the hypocrisy embedded in the psyche of these secular states. Its high time the Ummah at large rejects the ‘unrestrained freedom of speech’ and the systems like democracy and capitalism which emanate from the secular doctrines and revive the Islamic Caliphate.
