Edu-caution

As a Muslim first, and a citizen of Pakistan second, I am utterly flabbergasted, upon hearing about the absolute nauseating reforms in education, that are currently being hailed in as harbinger of modernization - by pseudo scholars and self proclaimed pundits of enlighten moderation.

It?s true, that western education system, has its positive aspects, and has given the world much in terms of technological progress, space travel, mass communication and cures to countless medical problems ? Things which we today aspire for.

However embedded with this progress is their ultra secular view point of minimization of religion from the affairs of life, which has subsequently, brought us Schizophrenia, mass depression, psychological problems, insomnia, spiraling suicide and crime rates, drug and drink related problems.

It seems, that present government, in line with its policy of blind obedience to capitalistic notions, is hell bent on modeling this secular viewpoint towards life.

The addition of obscene literature, rewriting a distorted version of Indo Pak History, removal of thought provoking ?both morally and intellectually stimulating stories of Hazrat Bilal(ra), Hazrat Ayesha(ra) and other blessed companions of the Prophet(saw). If at all shows something, it is nothing other than a fanatical narrow minded worship of the capitalist demigods of the present era.

The Ummah, is in dire need of revival of Khilafah today, like never before. Our lands have been occupied, and we have sat and stared, our innocent Muslim brothers and sisters have been tortured in the dungeons of Abu Gharib and Bagram, and we have sat and stared, and now even our adolescent kids who go routinely to school- in our own country- are not safe any longer from the ideological onslaught of Secular Capitalistic notions. Will be again just sit and stare? Or practically do something to change the system, and revive Khilafah, which will implement the far superior education system of Islam?
