In the name of Allah most gracious most merciful, Comprise Or Compromise Being a muslim To be a Muslim means having a criteria of beliefs .They are believing in Allah ,Angels ,His Messengers, His books, Day of Judgment,Destiny.Whoever rejects these beliefs is a kafir/non-muslim. 4:136.O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Messenger,and the scripture which He hath sent to His Messenger and the scripture which He sent to those before (him).Any who denieth Allah,His angels,His Books,His Messengers,and the Day of Judgment,hath gone far,far astray. 2:285.The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith.Each one (of them) believeth in Allah,His angels,His books,and His messengers."We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers."And they say:"We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness,our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys." "O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. (49:13) Sectarianism among Muslims There are other sects among muslims which have same basic beliefs which makes them muslims like believing in Allah ,Angels ,His Messengers, His books, Day of Judgment,Destiny.They may have some deviant beliefs but that does not takes them out of the fold of Islam.They cannot be labelled as kafir/unbelievers nor can they be labelled as apostates.Their status is such that they are permitted to perform hajj. They proclaim their beliefs openly & with that they are allowed to perform hajj is itself is a proof that they are muslims. Claiming to be muslims ,some set of people have apostastised.They are Qadianis,Nation of Islam,Submitters.These are out of Islam. The way to unity Among Muslims Comprise or Compromise in Unity Muslims can comprise on unity of purpose ,Muslims may not compromise on unity of beliefs. We need to unite on unity of purpose,the purpose of unity has to be single brotherhood.One strength,One Ummah against one common enemy.So all Muslims as long as they have basic criteria of being muslims comprise one ummah. Unity may not be in matters of beliefs ,since there is no compromise in matters of Aqeeda/beliefs.This will not effect the main purpose which is single brotherhood against one enemy i.e Kuffar/non-muslims .But this will effect the belief system. 21:92.Verily, this brotherhood of yours is a single brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore serve Me (and no other). All muslims believe in 5 pillars,1.Testimony/Shadahah, 2.prayer/Salah, 3 charity/Zakat,4 Fasting/saum,5.Hajj/pilgrimage.they also believe in Jihad,capital punishments. All muslims reject Alcoholism,Interest/usury,gambling,adultery,bribery,false oaths,oppression and injustice. Few muslims reject capital punishments,they will not be encouraged and in establishing an Islamic state they will not be considered in implementing the Islamic laws,they are hadith rejectors/Quranites.Whereas Sunnis,sufis,shias,salafis etc can simply co-exist & co-operate with each other as most of their beliefs does not fall under major laws which are required to establish Khilafah. Such co-operation is nothing new as these sects are centuries old. Quaranites/Kharijites formed during Khilafah of Ali r.a .He did not killed them,rather they were not allowed to propagate their beleisf ,as long as they follow laws of the state they were allowed to live in Khilafah. Shiaism is also centuries old.So is Sufism.During that period We had Khilafah/Caliphate,we had kingdom.So unity is nothing new for us ,its just that its possibility got blurred.Whereas its frame is still shining.We just need to fit in our efforts,our pure ,undefiled intentions to make a single ummah. "And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Qur'an) and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah's favor on you for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace you became brethren (in Islamic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes his Ayat clear to you, that you may be guided. (3:103) Allah Knows Best
